Office Hours

Office Hours

Office Hours are regular drop-in sessions where people can ask questions, get help, or share issues with the system. They make the system team approachable and create a feedback loop between users and maintainers. They're most useful once adoption starts to grow and teams need lightweight ways to stay aligned.

How to

  1. Choose the format

Decide if sessions should be open drop-ins or scheduled by request. Smaller orgs might manage with ad-hoc, larger ones often benefit from recurring slots.

  2. Promote consistently

Keep them visible and predictable with a recurring invite or reminders in broader design team channels.

  3. Host and support

Listen actively, document questions, and capture blockers. Where possible, bring quick answers or connect people to the right resources.

  4. Follow up

Share meeting notes, FAQs, or decisions so teams feel supported and issues don't resurface.

Scale support: Use AI to triage common questions, generate FAQ entries, and create session summaries. Consider a bot for async support that escalates complex questions.
